Downtown Vitalization Focus Group

What we do
 
To support the vitalization of Downtown Strathmore, as outlined in the Municipal Development Plan, by advising Council on downtown design, economic development, and community events

In addition to the members of the public, there are also representatives from Town Council (2), Downtown Business owners/operators (2), Wheatland Regional Arts Society (1) and the Strathmore & District Chamber of Commerce (1)
 
Term
Public Members shall be appointed to the Focus Group and shall remain members until the Focus Group has accomplished their mandate.
The timeline to complete this mandate is January 31, 2021.

Eligibility Criteria – members
Public members should be:
  • residents of Strathmore, and
  • at least 18 years of age
Chairperson
In addition to the above, preference will be given to applicants who:
have experience chairing a committee or board meeting;
have understanding of the Town of Strathmore Procedure Bylaw;
demonstrate strong time management skills; and
have previous experience with public engagement

Meetings
The Committee meets the third Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm in the Conference Room at the Town Administration Office (the Focus Group does not meet in July or August)
