Register now for September 2022/2023 school year. We will accept registrations until our program is full.
At Brentwood's Learn and Play Playschool we follow the Pocket of Playschool curriculum with bits and pieces of the Flight curriculum. Both are very hands on engaging curriculums that allow the children to learn through play, creativity and exploring. Throughout the day we will participate in teacher led activities such as group discussions, story time, songs and journal activities. They will include both large and small group activities. Students will engage in outside time when weather permits or gym time when it is to cold. During playtime they have the opportunity to explore six different centers which include a literacy center, dramatic play, building, sensory, math/science and art. Our main areas of focus on are social development, fine motor skills and gross motor skills but we also introduce the alphabet, different reading skills as well as math skills. Centers are full of different materials, including loose parts and are changing constantly. We strongly believe that when provided with the right materials children grow naturally through curiosity and play. |
