What You’ll Do:
Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, the Public Works Supervisor coordinates all of the functions of the Public Works Department including, but not limited to, supervision, hiring, and managing the public works budget.

Successful applicants will demonstrate on their resume:
- 5 years of related supervisory experience in skilled operations maintenance with at least 3 years at a second line supervisory/foreman level preferably in a municipal environment
- Must have experience operating a variety of heavy-duty equipment such as motor graders, loaders, excavators and snowplows. Experience with hydro vacs, skid steers, crack sealer units, hot boxes (pothole repairs) and street sweepers will also be considered an asset.
- Technical diploma or equivalent
- Standard First Aid CPR & AED Level C
- Experience in Capital and Public Works maintenance planning
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid Alberta Class 3Q Driver's License and acceptable driving record
- Familiarity with Commercial Vehicle Safety Compliance Regulations will be considered an asset
- WHMIS and TDG certification will be considered an asset
- In the interview we will be looking for the following competencies:
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and adhere to deadlines
- Knowledge of budget planning process
- Clear understanding and working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety legislation
- Advanced problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to establish and maintain quality public relations
