We are seeking a skilled Financial Analyst with a strong attention to detail to join our Finance team. Our ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills and a deep understanding of financial concepts in order to support our financial planning and analysis activities.

What You’ll Do:
Reporting to the Manager of Financial Planning, Budgeting & Reporting, the Financial Analyst is a key contributor within the Finance Department. You will assist in managing the Town’s budget and quarterly accounting, reporting, and forecasting for both capital and operations. A high degree of professional judgement and independence is required in performing these duties while supporting Town departments and maintaining strong working relationships with all stakeholders.

Successful applicants will demonstrate on their resume:

A minimum of three years of progressive accounting experience
-
Post-secondary degree or diploma in finance, accounting, or commerce
-
Proficiency in Office 365, with intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
-
Municipal government experience and knowledge of municipal accounting and reporting guidelines considered a strong asset
