What You’ll Do:
Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, with workflow coordinated by the Lead, Corporate Facilities, the Facilities Maintenance Operator is the front line representative responsible for supporting maintenance and installations on a variety of Town-owned and operated facilities while contributing to the Town of Strathmore’s strategic initiatives.

Successful applicants will demonstrate on their resume:

2nd or 3rd year electrician apprentice or other trade as it pertains to building maintenance
-
Valid class 5 license, with a clean driver abstract
-
Strong knowledge of electrical codes and regulations
-
Strong knowledge of building maintenance best practices
-
Knowledge of basic plumbing, HVAC and other related trades
In the interview we will be looking for the following competencies:

Ability to bring innovative solutions and ideas to problem solve and improve current practices

Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan and effectively utilize resources to complete a project

Ability to respond quickly and calmly in emergency situations

Ability to adapt to change while maintaining a corporate perspective

Ability to exercise good judgement when trouble-shooting problems keeping with the best interest of the Town in mind

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
