Position Overview:

The role of the Customer Service Representative (Aquatic Centre) is to handle and account for money, filing, communicating by telephone, dealing effectively and professionally with the public to assist in the safe operation of the Town of Strathmore Aquatic facility. The Customer Service Representative shall provide the Aquatic Team with accurate and timely information to ensure facility operations are maintained in an efficient manner.

It is also the responsibility of the Customer Service Representative to study and keep informed in the field of aquatics in order to provide information to patrons. This position is also responsible for general cleaning in the front lobby and other areas as needed in the facility.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for using a computerized system, accurately and efficiently.
  • Accurately maintains all cash, debit and credit card payments and to balance at the end of shift.
  • Required to communicate professionally with team members, patrons, contractors and any other persons or organizations.
  • Responsible for the appearance and general cleaning duties of the front lobby and throughout the facility when needed.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current Standard First Aid Certificate (within 3 years)
  • Current CPR C / AED Certificate (within 1 year)
  • Valid Alberta Class 5 Drivers Licence
  • WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) an asset
  • TDG (Transportation of Dangerous Goods) an asset
  • FOIP (Freedom of Information & Protection of Privacy Act) an asset
  • ICS 100 an asset
  • No previous experience is required – entry level position

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Proven knowledge of MS Office
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Good communications skills and professionalism

Working Conditions:

  • This position will require standing, lifting and sitting for long periods, etc.
  • Driving is a requirement of the position
  • This is a Safety Sensitive position
  • Consent to disclosure of a Criminal Record & Vulnerable Sector Check
