Councillor Lorraine Bauer

My name is Lorraine Bauer and I am thrilled to be representing the Town of Strathmore on council for the next four years!

My husband Ron Bauer and I have been married 23 years. We chose to live and raise our family in Strathmore 16 years ago in 2001. We have three sons, a dog named Lola and a cat named Luna.  Our oldest son lives in Vancouver, our middle son works as an electrical apprentice for a local company and our youngest is in grade 11 at Strathmore High School. We love to travel and have taken our family on trips all over North America, Europe, and Asia.

My education background is in special education and I have taught with Edmonton Public, Golden Hills and held a position with The University of Alberta as a Practicum Associate. I have also taken graduate level leadership courses at Royal Roads University in B.C. and hold a Bachelor in Education from the University of Alberta. I love learning at all levels and teaching is my passion.

I ran for council because I love municipal government and the opportunity to discuss the issues relating to our town. Some committees that I will be sitting on this year will be things that are close to my heart; The Youth Club
