We are looking for multiple Contract Group Fitness Instructors/Personal Trainers who can lead fun and effective classes for our diverse group of participants. You will be responsible for designing and delivering workouts that are safe, challenging, and motivating. You will also be responsible for providing feedback, encouragement, and coaching to help our members reach their full potential.

Position Summary:
This position requires the successful candidate(s) to be able to work with a variety of age groups, including older adults, and work varying shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
As a Group Fitness Instructor, you will have the opportunity to teach a variety of formats, such as HIIT, strength, cardio, yoga, pilates, and more.
The Group Fitness Instructor will be well prepared, organized, ready to lead, and demonstrate professionalism in all interactions. The instructor will be able to adapt moves for all skill levels of participants, while making sure all members of the class feel included.
As a Personal Trainer, you will be comfortable with small group training, up to 8 people per session.
Duties will include but are not limited to:

Greet participants and track attendance

Design and choreograph a variety of fun and challenging group fitness classes that are suitable for all fitness levels in accordance with the certification’s scope of practice

Create and maintain a playlist of appropriate music for each class

Deliver lessons using modeling and verbal instruction, demonstration, and explaining how to perform various exercises and routines in order to minimize injuries

Monitor participants in the group, providing feedback and instructions to ensure exercises are performed correctly

Develop and maintain professional and positive relationships with class participants, while building a community around fitness

Ensure participants use the equipment in a safe and appropriate manner

Suggest adaptation exercises for individuals with physical limitations or injuries
-
Assist with maintaining a clean and safe environment by adhering to the appropriate health and safety protocols and procedures
To be successful in this role, you will need:
-
AFLCA Group Fitness Certification / Canfit Pro / CFES
-
Certified in Specialty Class (High Fitness, Barre, Older Adult, etc.)
-
Recognized Personal Training certification (ACE, Canfit, NASM, etc.)
-
Current CPR level C/AED certification
-
Exceptional customer service skills
-
Ability to motivate and challenge individuals to attain their fitness-related goals

Vibrant, friendly, and confident with a strong ability to build interpersonal relationships
-
Strong verbal communication skills
-
If hired as a contractor, must provide proof of valid personal liability insurance of at least $2 million
