Eligible wages time frame extended for the Wage Earner Protection Program
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic many businesses are facing financial hardship. Some may have become insolvent, but with less access to the courts, many are experiencing delays in filing for bankruptcy or receivership. That is why the eligible wages period for the Wage Earner Protection Program (WEPP) has been extended by up to 6 months. This extension will help to ensure that any delays in bankruptcy or receivership proceedings, due to the pandemic, will not affect workers’ eligibility for the WEPP.

Strathmore Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) is available to answer questions, help access local resources, and provide support with government services. We are here for EVERYONE any ANYONE. We are also here just to listen.
Strathmore FCSS Offices have reopened to the public. Walk-in visitors are welcome from 10am – 2pm, with appointments available from 8:30am – 4:30pm. We are available to answer questions, help access local resources, and provide support with government services. If you know someone who is struggling you can also call us Monday through Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm at 403-934-9090.
