Strathmore Day

Strathmore Day Logo

On March 20, 2022 we're celebrating Strathmore Day!

In 1905 the Hamlet of Strathmore moved from its original location at Eagle Lake, 4 miles North to be near the developing irrigation system. The Hamlet of Strathmore attracted settlers quickly and on March 20, 1908, it was incorporated as the Village of Strathmore.

Celebrating the anniversary of Strathmore’s incorporation honours past generations who have built our community. It’s also a great way for us to celebrate what Strathmore is today and the things that make our town so… well, great!

Join us as we learn about and honour the “Village that Moved”.

Dog in Dog Show

Pooches in the Park Dog Show
Who needs a big arena, expert judges, and breed-perfect dogs to have a fun, community dog show? All that’s needed is exactly what we have in Strathmore… a bunch of furry tail-waggers and an audience of dog lovers. Grab your pooch, join RE/MAX KEY and the REPs Group, and make even more two-legged and four-legged friends.

Prizes will be awarded for the pooch that looks most like a celebrity, the best dressed pooch, the biggest and smallest pooches and best trick!

2:00-3:00pm at the main Amphitheater.

Cornhole Player Smiling

1st Annual Cornhole Tournament
It's been said that the game originated in Germany in the 14th century, and then was rediscovered in the hills of Kentucky over 100 years ago.

The truth is, who really knows, but the game is A-MAIZE-ING fun for all ages!

1:00-3:00pm on the grass just south of the Strathmore Municipal Building public parking lot.

No pre-registration required. Walk up registration opens at 1pm, the first 12 teams to register will compete! Register your team of two at the Town of Strathmore Tent. All ages welcome!

Prizes will be awarded to the winners, and you'll take home the signature Strathmore Day Annual Cornhole Day Trophy! (In case bragging rights aren't enough.)

A Strathmore Goat and baby chicks

Did you know there are over a billion goats in the world? While they won't all be at Strathmore Day, you'll be able to experience a sensory and therapeutic experience thanks to the cute goats from 748 Kisling Farms.

Kinsmen Park, 1:00-4:00pm

748 Kisling Farms at the small pavilion

The Rural Experience at the Strathmore Municipal Building east lawn

What reality show did the goat go on to find love? The Baaaa-chelor.

Donations will be accepted in person but the easiest way to get your fundraising started is here.
