Fire Pit Application and Permit

Anyone who has a fire pit in on their property, which includes portable fire pits purchased through local retail outlets, requires a permit issued from the Town of Strathmore. The Town of Strathmore is responsible under Bylaw 18-02 to ensure the safety of yourself and neighbors regarding back-yard fire pits. This is done by site inspections or through detailed drawings and photographs with your application and submitted for review by fire department members.

Should the fire department be called out to your property, your permit must be readily available to firefighters for verification of your Fire Pit’s registered.
