The FCSS Community Access Card program ensures that individuals and families facing financial barriers can access Town of Strathmore recreation facilities at reduced rates. This initiative reflects our commitment to enhancing community where our residents have an opportunity to make healthy changes.

What is the Community Access Card?

The Community Access Card provides eligible residents with discounts of 10 percent, 25 percent, 50 percent, or 75 percent on entry fees or memberships to Town of Strathmore recreation facilities. The discount level is determined based on household income and family size, following the Government of Alberta’s income guidelines. Only residents who meet specific financial criteria based on household income and size are eligible for the Community Access Card. Proof of income and household composition is required.

Key benefits include:

  • Affordable recreation – Reduced admission and membership fees for those who qualify.
  • Community engagement – Encourages participation in local recreational activities for low-income residents.
  • Confidential access – Approved applicants receive a personalized card listing household members, allowing seamless and private facility entry.
