An area structure plan is a higher-level planning document that establishes policies, future land use, road networks and public lands for an area. Typically, the development is phased and will occur over several years. The area structure plan is adopted to control and guide the development, so it’s done harmoniously.
Review the Town’s existing area structure plans, on the Plans, Reports and Studies Page.
To submit an application for a new area structure plan, or to amend an existing one, please complete a Project Proposal Form and email it to development@strathmore.ca. Administration will organize a pre-application meeting between yourself and other Town departments to discuss your proposal, any issues that may arise, and to determine the necessary reports or studies that should accompany the application.
Download the Area Structure Plan Application Package here. Within it is information outlining the ASP adoption process and what documents are required to be included with the application.
