PROCLAMATION

NATIONAL VOLUNTEER WEEK

April 16-22, 2023

WHEREAS the Town of Strathmore recognizes the importance of "National Volunteer Week" and encourages an environment in which volunteers can flourish; and

WHEREAS the Town of Strathmore could not function without volunteers who serve on boards, commissions, task forces and committees; and

WHEREAS each day, volunteers help shape the policies that keep our community moving forward in the right direction and their impact can be felt throughout the community; and

WHEREAS there are numerous volunteers in our community who give their time and effort to hep others through their church, community organizations, service clubs, schools, hospitals, charitable organizations, and other worthy endeavors; and

WHEREAS volunteers are motivated by the simple satisfaction of helping their fellow citizens and making their community a better place to live.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, PAT FULE, MAYOR OF STRATHMORE, DO HEREBY PROCLAIM APRIL 16-22, 2023 AS “NATIONAL VOLUNTEER WEEK” in the town of Strathmore.
