Town of Strathmore Council Approves Appointment of New CAO

STRATHMORE, AB – Doug Lagore, Interim CAO for the Town of Strathmore since August 2020, has been appointed by Council as Chief Administrative Officer.

Mr. Lagore has served as a trusted advisor to the Town on key projects since 2016 and was appointed Interim CAO by Council last summer. He brings a strong background in municipal administration and has previously demonstrated success as CAO in other Canadian communities.
James Thackray has stepped down as CAO. The Town is grateful to Mr. Thackray for his service and wishes him success in his future endeavours.

2021 is a critical year for Strathmore. With strong leadership from Council, an experienced executive group within the organization, and a superior employee team, the Town of Strathmore will deliver the highest quality of programs and services for Strathmore’s residents, businesses, and visitors.
