Budget Process

The Municipal Government Act states that a Municipal Council is to pass a budget for each year. The budget process for the Town of Strathmore is for administration to bring operational plans and capital projects to work shop in the fall of each year. Council provides direction and priorities to administration for the financial planning for the future. A three year operating and capital financial plan is presented to Council. From this financial plan a one year budget is adopted and approved by council. The 2016 budget was approved by Council December 2, 2015.
